Revolutionary Brand Restage

Branding and packaging upgrade for iconic Oregon winery

Hinman Vineyards

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Founded by Doyle Hinman who planted five acres of wine grapes near Eugene in 1972, Hinman Vineyards dates back to a time when the state of Oregon had only five wineries and 35 planed acres. However, by 2013 the brand was badly in need of a facelift.

Our goal was to express the essence of Oregon: natural beauty, youthful energy and, above all, trees. At the same time we hoped to develop an brand image that would appeal to both female and male consumers of all ages, especially Millennials. The new packaging really hit the mark, with an elegant pastel colour palette, a clean fresh layout, and several youthful saplings graced by a playful blue butterfly.

The previous Hinman Vineyards label below shows how dramatic this branding upgrade was at the time.
